Using the same process as before read the story and then fill out the graphic organizer in your spiral (see previous posts for graphic organizer)

First read the short story.
Secondly, glue in/copy the graphic organizer to your spiral on pages 13 and 14 and complete it based on the story.
Using the "Thank You M'am" short story identify at least 7 different literary devices used using a direct quote and citing the page number.
Example: Page 1, "Her purse....had everything but a hammer and nails." -Hyperbole Complete the graphic organizer for the "Thank You M'am" Story by Langston Hughes
This year our class will be participating in a book challenge. In this challenge students are pushed to read books of different genres as well as many books as they can over the course of the year. We will be doing in class reading to help support this. Students will be responsible for bringing a book to class to read on a daily basis.
